Privacy Policy

Schulte Table starts you off with anonymous sign-in โ€” no account, email or personal information is required to play. If you choose to link a Google or email account to sync progress across devices, this page explains exactly what that adds.

1. Privacy Summary

๐Ÿ”’

Schulte Table does not require account creation to play. By default the app uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication, which assigns a random identifier to your device โ€” no name, email or password required. If you choose to link a Google or email account (entirely optional, from the Profile tab), we collect the email address and display name needed to sync your progress across devices. Leaderboard entries display your display name, which is auto-generated by default and may be customized. We do not sell user data.

2. About the App

Schulte Table is a brain-training game designed to improve focus, concentration, visual scanning speed and cognitive performance. It includes gamification (XP, levels, play credits, game score, streaks), a global leaderboard, a second Memory Match game mode, optional Google/email account sign-in for cross-device sync, and optional reward ads.

3. Sign-In Options: Guest by Default, or Link an Account

When you first open the app, Firebase Authentication automatically creates an anonymous guest session and assigns a random unique identifier (UID) to your device. This happens silently โ€” you do not need to sign up, log in, or provide any information to play.

From the Profile tab, you may optionally sign in with a Google account or an email address and password. Doing so links your existing guest progress to that account, and lets you sign back into the same account on another device, or after reinstalling the app, to recover your progress. Signing in is never required to use any core feature of the app.

If you sign in with Google, we receive the email address and display name associated with your Google account (via Firebase Authentication and Google Sign-In) to create and identify your account. If you sign in with email and password, we collect the email address you provide. We do not receive your Google account password, and we do not post to or access any other part of your Google account.

4. Information We Collect

Cloud profile data (stored in Firebase Firestore)

  • Display name (auto-generated; you may customize it)
  • Avatar selection and equipped/unlocked accessories
  • Level, XP and rank title
  • Play credit and game score balance
  • Current streak and last-played date
  • Game scores submitted to the leaderboard
  • If you link an account: email address, and whether the account is linked via Google or email/password

Leaderboard data (readable by all app users)

When you complete a game, your display name, score and avatar are written to the leaderboard collections. This data is visible to all authenticated app users. Your email address is never written to the leaderboard or shown to other users.

Diagnostic and analytics data

  • Anonymous crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics
  • Anonymized usage patterns via Firebase Analytics

As a guest, we do not collect any email address, phone number, real name, location data, contacts, photos or biometric information. If you choose to sign in, we collect only the email address (and, for Google sign-in, display name) needed to identify your account โ€” never a phone number, contacts, photos or biometric information.

5. Local Device Storage

The following data is stored locally on your device only:

  • Game settings (grid size, table type, style, theme)
  • Local game history
  • Offline sync queue โ€” temporary pending writes created when you play without an internet connection, flushed automatically on reconnect
  • Daily ad-viewing count (resets each day)

6. Third-Party Services

The app integrates the following third-party services:

  • Firebase Authentication โ€” anonymous sign-in and UID generation, plus optional Google Sign-In and email/password sign-in
  • Google Sign-In โ€” used only if you choose to link a Google account; shares your Google account's email and display name with the app
  • Firebase Firestore โ€” cloud storage for profiles, scores and leaderboard
  • Firebase Crashlytics โ€” crash reporting and stability monitoring
  • Firebase Analytics โ€” anonymized usage patterns
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging โ€” optional push notifications
  • Google AdMob โ€” optional reward ads; AdMob may collect device identifiers per Google's policy

Please review the Google Privacy Policy for details on how Firebase, Google Sign-In and AdMob handle data.

7. Children's Privacy

Schulte Table is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action. Because the leaderboard shows a display name to other players, we ask that children do not enter their real name or any other personal detail as their display name.

8. Data Security

Cloud data is stored on Google's secure Firebase infrastructure. We take reasonable measures to protect data from unauthorized access, loss or misuse. Because the app uses anonymous authentication by default, no personally identifiable information is held on our servers unless you choose to link an account.

9. Reinstall Behavior

As a guest, your cloud progress is linked to an anonymous UID tied to the current app install. Reinstalling the app as a guest generates a new UID, so guest progress is not automatically restored after a full reinstall, and local game history is cleared on uninstall.

If you linked a Google or email account before reinstalling, simply sign back in with that same account after reinstalling (or on a new device) to recover your level, credits, streak and history.

10. Your Rights

As a guest, no personally identifiable information is stored on our servers, since we only hold an anonymous UID. You can clear locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app data from your device settings.

If you've linked an account, you can permanently delete your account and all associated cloud data directly from the app โ€” open Profile โ†’ Delete Account & Data. This removes your profile, scores and leaderboard entries from our servers immediately.

You can also request deletion by contacting us at appsup.dev@gmail.com.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect application improvements, legal requirements or operational changes. Any updates will be published on this page together with the revised "Last updated" date.
